I’m excited to announce that I’ll be running another house exchange workshop at the Hill Center on Sunday, January 12, at 2:00-4:00. The historic Hill Center is in the heart of Washington, DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood at 921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, just 2 blocks from the Eastern Market metro stop. My previous House Exchange Workshop at the Hill Center in June was standing-room-only with nearly 100 attendees and a waiting list. The Jan. 12 workshop will provide new information on house exchanging, along with an overview of the nuts-and-bolts of swapping your home for someone else's. The workshop will include a significant focus on house exchange websites and the many tools they offer and how to successfully navigate them.
Here are the kinds of places you can experience when
you do house exchanging! You can exchange over spring breaks, summers,
Thanksgiving, or winter holidays – the choice is yours!
How about a trip to the beach? You don’t have to wait until summer. Here’s an exchange we did to the Florida Keys
over Thanksgiving.
Or perhaps you’d enjoy a trip to the mountains
instead? This photo was taken from our
house exchange cabin just outside of Yosemite National Park, California, over a
spring break.
What about a trip to Europe next summer? We’ve done two exchanges to London that have
allowed us to see wonderful sights, like Tower Bridge.
A house exchange outside of Rome allowed us to
experience history first-hand by touring places like the Collosseum.
So put Sunday, January 12, at 2:00 – 4:00 PM on your
calendar! The workshop is free of
charge. Here’s a link to register for
it: http://hillcenterdc.org/home/programs/1402/
I hope to see you there!
